Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training in Florida
Patient care technician training programs cover more areas of patient care than do nursing assistant training programs including EKG training and phlebotomy training. Additional training in CPR, taking vital signs, patient hygiene and other basic patient care is also covered in a patient care technician training program. Graduates of a PCT training program are eligible for certification exams to become phlebotomy technicians and EKG technicians. PCTs also are required to have more clinical hours in the home health and hospital settings than a nursing assistant. You may also be interested in CNA training in Florida.
