MSN Degree Programs Offered in Arkansas
Master’s in Nursing programs are a registered nurse’s pathway to advanced career opportunities in nursing including nurse practitioner, nurse midwives, faculty at nursing schools, clinical nurse specialists, nurse leaders and many other exciting areas. MSN programs are also the step required before doctoral programs. The doctoral degree has become a standard for nursing faculty members at most 4 year colleges and by 2015 nurse practitioners will be required to have a doctoral level education or DNP.
A master’s program will take a baccalaureate educated nurse around 12 months to complete. Clinical sites are often arranged by a faculty member to be completed in the student’s local geography.
