Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Programs (PNP)
Pediatric nurse practitioner programs combine classroom and clinical instruction to prepare advanced practice pediatric nurse practitioners to treat infants, children and adolescents in the primary care and chronic illness settings. Pediatric nurse practitioner programs are offered in multiple formats intended to prepare nurses at various stages of their nursing careers. There are master’s level programs, post-master’s certificate programs and Doctor of Nursing practice programs. Of course, not all pediatric nurse practitioner schools will offer each of these options.
