In order to become a certified medical assistant in New Jersey you first need to choose a medical assisting program that has been accredited. Accreditation is determined by national accrediting agencies (institutional), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
