In order to become an LPN in Missouri, you must graduate from a practical nursing program approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Most programs are nine to twelve months long and require that you have a high school diploma or GED to apply. After graduating from an LPN program you must sit for the NCLEX-PN exam. You may practice as a graduate nurse for up to 90 days while waiting for the results of your exam. After you have been notified that you passed the NCLEX-PN exam, you may apply for licensure as an LPN in the state of Missouri.
