Nursing Assistant / CNA Training Programs in Arizona

To become a CNA in Arizona, completion of a 120 hour Arizona State Board of Nursing approved nursing assistant program is required prior to sitting for the certification exam. Certified Nursing Assistants or CNAs work under the supervision of licensed nurses in Arizona. CNAs provide basic direct patient care in a variety of settings including, hospice, long term care facilities, assisted living homes, in-home care, hospitals and in other similar facilities.

In general, CNA classes will cover such topics as utilizing the proper infection control practices, medical terminology, CPR, basic clinical nursing skills and other related topics.
